Menstrual periods are one of the body’s most important “vital signs” for teen and young adult women. Periods can come early, on time, late, or not at all. Normal and abnormal menstrual patterns can have important significance from the perspective of comfort and function. However, they also can be signs of more serious underlying conditions which sometimes require additional evaluation and treatment. Our providers will assess and treat menstrual-related conditions such as:
- Irregular periods (infrequent or too frequent)
- Heavy periods
- Menstrual cramps
- Iron deficiency or anemia from heavy periods
- Acne associated with menstrual cycles
