Kwabena Blankson, MD

A graduate of Harvard College and the Yale School of Medicine, Kwabena “Bobo” Blankson is a pediatrician with subspecialty training in Adolescent Medicine. He has over 13 years of military experience. Dr. Blankson’s skills and areas of interest include weight management; mental health services including ADHD, depression and anxiety; management of concussions and complex headache syndromes; alternative medicine to include acupuncture and mindfulness training; sports medicine and nutrition; acne; and reproductive health. Dr. Bobo has published in peer-reviewed journals on adolescent healthcare utilization, obesity and energy-drink consumption and has been featured on NYTimes.com, HuffingtonPost.com, CNN.com, Time.com, Forbes.com, CBSnews.com and more. He is passionate about teen and young adult health. In his spare time, he writes middle-grade/young adult novels and is a medical consultant with GoodThinkInc, a positive psychology consulting firm. His hobbies include sports, music, video gaming, and reading. He is excited to have moved to Dallas with his wife and three daughters.

He is Board Certified in Adolescent Medicine and Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also holds a membership in the Society for Adolescent Medicine.
