Hello! I’m Keara! I feel honored to start this journey with you. I personally understand it can feel intimidating to start the work of inner-reflection through therapy, and I will be with you every step of the way. I bring a warm and curious energy to the therapy space and save room for laughter as we get to know each other through this process. I work from a strengths-based approach and believe you already have the tools you need inside you to be successful! I believe our relationships are everything—the source of our emotional validation, the consistent ingredient in our otherwise always-evolving identities. Together we will examine your close relationships and the communities that you live in. Some of the modalities that influence my clinical style are Integrative Systemic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Human Development from Boston College, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. Before attending Northwestern, I received further training as part of a two-year Fellowship at McLean Hospital. During my first year in the Fellowship, I worked at an all-girls teen residential unit for issues including Mood Disorders, Self-Harm, and Eating Disorders. I later transitioned to a partial hospital day program in my second year.
I enjoy working with diverse clients of all ages, and I am LGBTIQA+ and neurodivergent affirming. My specializations include DBT skills for self-harm and suicidality, parent coaching groups, couples therapy, and mindfulness
Outside the office I enjoy spending time with my fiancé Matthew and our golden retriever, Milo. We like to be outside in nature and take long walks (If it’s not too hot!). I also love to cook and try new restaurants with friends on the weekends!
