May earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University in 2014 and completed a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LaGrange College in 2017. Since beginning her counseling career, May has worked in a variety of settings including adolescent and adult PHP/IOP, a residential substance use treatment center, and private practice. May works with both adults and adolescents as they struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, eating disorders, substance use, relationship issues, and self-harm. May will often use IFS and CBT in counseling sessions.
May believes that we all have within us the power to create the lives that we want, but sometimes our ability to connect with our nurturing and compassionate selves is obscured. May’s goal as a counselor is to develop a partnership with you to help you live the life that you want.
