Dawn A Dillon, MEd, LPC-S, NCC, CEDS-S

Dawn earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Missouri State University followed by a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois. She taught courses in anatomy and physiology at a community college and then worked as a research biochemist for a pharmaceutical company prior to starting her counseling career. Dawn completed a master of education degree in Counselor Education at the University of North Texas in 1998 and has been practicing as a professional counselor since then, primarily in private practice. As Dawn and her husband have moved with his career, she has had private practices in three different cities and worked in counseling centers at both private and public universities. Dawn has worked with diverse populations and a variety of clients over the past 19 years, including adolescents, juvenile offenders, victims of domestic violence, adults across the lifespan, undergraduate and graduate students, athletes, couples and families. Dawn has worked with clients with eating disorders throughout her career. Working this population, and those who support them, has been a particular emphasis over the past decade.
