Dana Rubin-Remer, MD, FAAP

Dr. Remer is the vice-president and co-founder of Girls to Women Health and Wellness, a multidisciplinary medical practice in North Dallas dedicated to the physical and emotional needs of girls and young women ages 10-25. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of California Santa Barbara and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. After completing her Pediatrics training at Ohio State University Columbus Children’s Hospital, she joined the faculty of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas teaching general pediatric and adolescent medicine, where she worked closely with their child abuse evaluation team. Dr. Remer has worked with adolescent and pediatric patients at several local pediatric practices and in Student Health at Southern Methodist University.

She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She holds memberships in the Society for Adolescent Medicine and the North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

Dr. Remer speaks to parent and professional audiences on subjects such as parenting, adolescent development, dating safety, sexuality, nutrition and body image, bullying, and preparing for college. She is a recipient of the Gail Reese Award for Education from Planned Parenthood North Texas and the Women’s Mentorship Award from the Annual Women’s Symposium, Southern Methodist University.

Dr. Remer emphasizes, “I am passionate about empowering young women to be confident, courageous, and safe. My goal is to give them a secure and inviting medical home where they can ask questions, get answers, and know that we all are on their team.
