Dr. Shanna Garza joined Girls to Women and Young Men’s Health and Wellness, a multidisciplinary medical practice in North Dallas dedicated to the physical and emotional needs of young women and men ages 10-25 in 2017. Dr. Garza came to the practice with 10 years of experience working in general Family medicine and community medicine. Her professional interests include mental health, preventive medicine, gynecology/women’s health and chronic disease management.
Dr. Garza received her B.S. in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Following her education, she completed a Family Medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. She is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and a member of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
She lives in her hometown of McKinney, TX with her husband and two children. She will be leading a new McKinney location of Girls to Women and Young Men’s Health, opening February 2020.
