Dr. Shanna Garza recently joined Girls to Women Health and Wellness and Young Men’s Health, a multidisciplinary medical practice in North Dallas dedicated to the physical and emotional needs of young women and men ages 10-25. Dr. Garza comes to the practice with 10 years of experience working in general Family medicine and community medicine. Her professional interests include mental health, preventative medicine, gynecology/women’s health and chronic disease management.
Dr. Garza received her B.S. in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Following her education, she completed a Family Medicine residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. She is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and a member of the Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
She recently moved back to McKinney, her home town, with her husband and two children. She enjoys exercise, bike riding, cooking, travel and spending time with family.
