Susan Sugerman, MD, MPH, FAAP
Physician
Dr.
Susan Sugerman is the president and co-founder of Girls to Women Health and
Wellness, a multidisciplinary medical practice dedicated to the physical and
emotional needs of girls and young women ages 10-25. She has many years of
experience in adolescent medicine, both as a Board Certified pediatrician and as
former staff physician in college health at Southern Methodist University. After
graduating from Stanford University, she earned her Medical degree from Baylor
College of Medicine and her Masters in Public Health from the University of
Texas School of Public Health in Houston. She completed residency training in
Pediatrics in Cincinnati, Ohio, followed by a Robert Wood Johnson Fellowship in
Health Services Research at UCLA, where she studied confidentiality and
adolescent access to health services. She holds memberships in the American
Academy of Pediatrics, the Society for Adolescent Medicine, and the North
American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
"Being able to communicate comfortably and accurately about sensitive
subjects is crucial to a successful doctor-patient relationship in adolescence,"
says Dr. Sugerman. She looks forward to helping young women maneuver this
challenging and exciting stage of their development safely and with confidence.
Dana Rubin-Remer, MD, FAAP

Dr.
Remer is the vice-president and co-founder of Girls to Women Health and
Wellness, a multidisciplinary medical practice dedicated to the physical and
emotional needs of girls and young women ages 10-25. She has a strong background
and interest in adolescent health care. After graduating from the University of
California in Santa Barbara, she attended Wayne State University School of
Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and completed her Pediatric residency at Ohio
State University Columbus Children’s Hospital, where she focused on adolescent
medicine and achieved many honors. Dr. Remer joined the faculty of University of
Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and Children’s Medical Center of
Dallas where she taught medical students and residents in a variety of clinical
settings. As an integral part of the child abuse team, she evaluated cases of
sexual and physical abuse and worked closely with Child Protective Services, the
Police Departments and District Attorney’s office. In addition to spending time
at home raising her own children, Dr. Remer has worked with adolescent and
pediatric patients at several local pediatric practices and with college
students at the Student Health Center at Southern Methodist University. She is
Board Certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics
and a member their Section of Adolescent Medicine. She also holds memberships in
the Society for Adolescent Medicine and the North American Society of Pediatric
and Adolescent Gynecology.
Dr. Rubin-Remer emphasizes, "I feel passionate about empowering young women
to feel confident, courageous, and safe. My goal is to give them a secure and
inviting medical home where they can ask questions, get answers, and know that
we all are on their team."
